Why do I feel the need to confess this?

I've always been a big reader and usually once I start a book I finish it within 3-4 days max, no matter how big it is. I just have a hard time putting good books down. However, when I picked up Twilight after hearing so much buzz about it, I was a little embarrassed and tried not to let anyone see me checking it out at the library. I just thought, "I can't believe I'm about to read a teenage vampire love story." but 5 days, 3 books, 1800 pages, 2 neglected children, and 1 bewildered husband later, I knew I was a Twilight mom. I know I'm not completely alone in my Twilight addiction, (I have a theory that her books are laced with drugs) because I do have a couple friends who love the books too. In fact tonight one of my friends might be bringing...or shall I say dragging...a date she has tonight to a Barnes and Noble bookstore so she can meet me there for the midnight party. Yes, it's that important. While I was reading it I brought it to a doctor's appointment I had (which I found a very annoying at the time) and even though I tried covering the book so she wouldn't think I was a little cray, she instantly recognized the book and said I wouldn't believe how many woman bring in the series; then she proceeded to have a Twilight book discussion with me and even gushed over the movie and how dorky the actor they chose for Edward is (I have to agree.)

Anyway Breaking Dawn is being released tonight and I just had to share my excitement with everyone!

For those of you who have not read the series yet, here is my advice:

1. Warn your husband in advance that you may not be around for a little while.

2. Have your favorite Pizza delivery place on speed dial, you'll understand once you're started.

3. Thoroughly clean your house and clear all your appointments. Things like laundry and doctor's visits really become a nuisance:)

Now that I've come clean with my Twilight addiction, is there anyone who can relate? Either with my addiction or another? Let's share and get this out in the open.

I would like to let everyone know that I am also a Twighlight dork =) I will be attending the midnight release with several girls in my ward, and while I feel just a tad bit embarrassed about being so addicted, I can't wait to get my hands on Breaking Dawn. Let's hope it meets all of our expectations!

I don't get it... but then, I haven't read it either.

One of Chandi's best friends is OBSESSED with this series...(I think I might buy the laced with drugs idea) She's in an altogether different world when she talks about it. I don't know anything about Edward, but when Tara put a picture of the actor playing him on her blog, I thought he'd borrowed Tom Selleck's mustache for his eyebrows... and his pouty mouth looked like it belonged on Angela Jolie, but other than that... nah... other than that, he still looked prissie!

I just may have to read this book and see what the fuss is all about.
Do you think even old ladies will like it?

hi there. Yes, I've bitten the bullet and have started blogging. It's quite fun...especially when people leave comments (thanks). So, for this whole Twilight book series thing. Honestly never heard of it before. But, you've caught my interest. Monday morning, I'm walking to the library and seeing if they have it here (in English). Very intriguing.

Also, I really liked your guys pics of Montanta. Sounds a bit like Sweden with the late sun-sets :) It looks beautiful!

It's true, Tara is obsessed. She slepts out on a sidewalk twice to get her books and tickets to hear her speak. She sewed a prom dress to go to a big Twilight party they had at her local bookstore. She has probably 7 different posts on her blog about it. It is a sickness. I like your advice to readers. It is true for any good book. I am taking a book break because for 2 weeks John kept asking me when I was coming home from book vacation. I checked so many out from the library. I was trying to catch up on my list.

Carrie, I'm shocked! I really didn't think Twilight was your style. I, like you, read all 3 books in a couple days. Luckily Austin was working so only the boys were neglected and they have a short memory of my bad behavior. He did give me never ending crap for about 2 months about vampires. I won't tell him your a dork too. "The Host" was good too, but Twilight was my favorite.

I'm not quite to your obsession with the series because I read number 2 and didn't like it so stopped there. I think I'll take your advice and try #3 though. I had to laugh outloud and your warnings. Maybe I really shouldn't get myself into this...

I totally relate Carri! I think I need to start a group called Twilight's Anonymous or something. They are absolutely addictive, and I have to admit I am a little embarassed at how I neglect everything in my life when I'm reading them. Oh well, it's fun right? I too went to the midnight release party---but I went to Wal-mart.

I just spent the past 2 days reading Breaking Dawn. I liked it, but I didn't LOVE it like I did the other books. I guess I kind of got bored at the end. I think it was because all the jacob/edward drama was over. (I still think that Edward has always been way too understanding on the whole Jacob/Bella relationship. And it bugged me how she kept asking Jacob to come back.)

I know that Tanner is so relieved that the series is finally over. I haven't told him about The Host yet. Have you read that? I wonder if it is as good as Twilight.
